I've been catching up on old X-Files episodes... and lately they've featured a lot of Native American story-lines. Those episodes inspired this image. This was also an experimentation with loose, textured brush strokes.

Luna and the ball


After being inspired by the start of the Play Well Art Blog, I thought I'd keep practicing by creating this image of my dog, Luna. This image is an homage to her love of tennis balls and sunlight.




One Brush One Layer


I am addicted to layers in Photoshop... so this was an exercise to use only one brush and one layer for the entire painting. I never quite finished it, but my fear of merging layers is gone! Committing to each brush stroke was much less scary than I originally anticipated.

WHERE: London, 2011
PERSONALITY: Jolly, full of laughter, enthusiastic man happy to be alive and well.
CLOTHING: Wears a bow tie, smoking jacket and monocle
LOOK: Heavy set, around 5'6", receding hairline
